  • 1. Angela and Salome aim to link business with art and design, and showcase the variety of talents that Middlesex University students have to offer. Utilising their research in MSc Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, these budding entrepreneurs desire to communicate excellence in African fashion, with a predisposition towards more sustainable fashion production processes. Sustainably Afro will serve as a stepping stone towards Angela and Salome’s fashion careers: •  Angela Ciruma is a fashion stylist who founded Attirety and its feature brand Ethical Fashion Company (EFC). After completing her BA in fashion communication and styling and achieving first class honors for her masters degree, Angela hopes to develop a social enterprise that curates conscious fashion events to educate and entertain. •  Salome Peters Awoh is the Creative Director of the clothing line Sals Peters, an international fashion brand based in Nigeria which specialises in innovative ready to wear bespoke African fashion, promoting ethical practices. “We hope to make a positive impact by sensitising fashion consumers on the consequence of their clothing purchase choices, whilst offering a cultural exchange of African fashion, style, music and art”, (Angela and Salome). With Equalibria Arts providing the night’s immersive hosting, musical performances by multi-talented rapper/songwriter Dario Breaker and music by Malone & Co ending this exclusive affair, Something Afro is a fashion event not to be missed! Proceeds from the event will be donated to MUWBF who provide degree related work experience opportunities for students to enhance their employability. MUWBF was also responsible for recruiting students to promote and manage and this event. A percentage will also go towards a travel fund to help provide international ethical fashion internships for students in partnership with Attirety and CWB Group.     Sustainably Afro is a montage of fashion, film, music and live performances and will provide a platform to pre-launch Angela Ciruma’s Attirety and Ethical Fashion Company, and Salome Peters Awoh’s exclusive fashion line, Sals Peters.
