Every Saturday you can visit the two museums of Alcalali, open from 11 till 13
The Medieval Tower, the most emblematic monument of the municipality, saves
the history in every corner and floor, and is an open door to the Vall de Pop. On
the other side, in the Ethnologic Museum, the antigue Almazara (oil mill) from
the Coop. San Jose you can take cognizance of the process of making oil and
wine on the old way, and how this knowledge is transmitted from generation to
After taking knowledge of the history and the passed agriculture, a walk through
the municipality of Alcalali during which you can enjoy a spectacular nature of
The almond flowers overflow the fields with an explosion of scents and colours.
You may use the occasion, to make some photo’s and present these at the II
nd. PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTEST “Alcalali en blossom”. A dinner or a lunch
worth 40--€ for two persons can be won.
On top of that Alcalali is well known for her good gastronom, so you could
finalise your visit with an excellent lunch in one of the bars or restaurants of the
municipality, accompanied by the best wines of the region.
For groups of 10 or more persons, on whatever day of the week, after
appointment, you can visit the museums and a walk through Alcalali to enjoy
the almond blossom .
Appointments can be made by phoning the Town Hall of Alcalali (966482024),
from 8 to 15 hour from Monday till Friday.
As well as manning the museums as accompaniment of the walk during the
visits will be done by volunteers of the Pensioners Association of Alcalali.
