PomBioTech GmbH - experts in drug metabolite production. PomBioTech has specialized on the production of drug metabolites synthesized by human cytochromes P450 and human UDP-glucuronosyltransferases (UGT). Using recombinant fission yeast strains (Schizosaccharomyces pombe) we are able to biotechnologically produce custom made metabolites including cytochrome P450 and UGT metabolites (glucuronides) up to technical scale (mg to 100 g range). In addition to this we offer a variety of glucuronides and cytochrome P450 metabolites for use as reference standards (e.g. for LC/MS and LC/MS-MS).

Custom metabolite production by PomBioTech: • Compound of interest is send to PomBioTech • PomBioTech produces the desired metabolite • The metabolite is shipped back to the customer II. Metabolite production by the customer in-house: • Fission yeast strains are in-licensed by the customer for a specific time period • PomBioTech provides strains and technical support • In-house demonstration with a standard substrate III. Reference standard production: • Production of labeled or unlabeled reference standards is performed by PomBioTech after an order has been placed • The reference standard is shipped to the customer • Alternatively, strains can also be in-licensed by the customer (see point II)
