  • 13. I wondered if you could help me with selecting a download format if its not too much of an imposition. I guess that as the first generation recording, the wav format is arguably most “accurate”. However, I’d usually want to compress the wav files anyway so I probably wouldn’t go with the wav version unless it was noticeably better than the DSD and/or FLAC versions. So my questions are 1. Am I right in assuming the FLAC and DSD versions were created directly from the original wav files? 2. What preferences/suggestions do you have about the merits of the formats in this particular case? I’m building up quite a decent collection of DSD recordings. Only a few years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined that would be possible. The work you’ve done in championing the format has been really significant. Thanks and Happy New Year to you all. Cheers Customer service email 1/15/2015 Would you know how to answer? Footnote: An example of what the audiophile record label needs to know when answering consumer questions. This leads to information that professional audio engineers need to know, address and provide for successful entry to HRA.
