This paper gives instructions for converter parameter setting that must be carried out when the NAMC-xx board is replaced. There is also parameter settings for new and old ACS600 Single Drive hardware. See Appendix 1. Old ACF600 400V or 500V series inverters can be equipped with NAMC- 11 (or C) SP KIT STD or NAMC-11 (or C) SP KIT PFC.

ABB Industry Oy NAMC-xx Parameter 58946222Drives SettingProduct AC, Helsinki 58946222.DOCDEPT PREPARED BY DATE REVISION APPROVED BY PAGEEJQ ACS600 Technical 20/05/1999 J KI 2(12) SupportNAMC (APPLICATION AND MOTOR CONTROL) BOARD REPLACEMENT:SETTING THE PARAMETERS The NAMC-xx Application and Motor Control Board, used in all ACS600 models, requires no hardware configuration before or after installation. However, after the board has been replaced, several parameters concerning the technical specifications of the converter (Parameter Groups 97, 112 and 190) units must be re-defined.Gaining Access to Parameter Groups 97 (needed for 690 V units only), 112 and 190 Under normal conditions, the parameters in Groups 97, 112 and 190 have to be set only once, and this is done at the manufacturing plant prior to delivery. However, the parameters must be re-defined after a replacement NAMC board has been installed. The parameters are not intended to be changed by the user, and they are not dealt with in the ACS 600 Programming Manual. In order to gain access to Parameter Groups 112 and 190, code 564 must be entered at Parameter 16.3 (PASS CODE). The passcode to parameter group 97 is 5600. The setting takes effect only after the panel power is switched of and on. (See the ACS 600 Programming Manual for details on how to modify parameter values.) Do not alter any other parameter values. Altering the wrong parameters, or entering the wrong values for these parameters, voids the warranty. The value in the table must be rounded if necessary. After entering the parameters, the converter unit must be switched off from the mains and then on again for the new settings to take effect. This also disables changes to Parameter Groups 97, 112 and 190. The Parameter Lock will be left in the OPEN position, allowing changes to parameters in Groups 10 through 99. Setting the Parameter Lock in the LOCKED position will disable all parameter alteration. The required settings for Parameter Groups 112 and 190 for old type of ACS600 Hardware (400 V, 500 V and 690V) are given in the Table 1.1. for 400V and 500V units and for 690V units in the Table 1.2. The required settings for Parameter Groups 112 and 190 for new type of ACS600 Hardware (200V, 400 V, 500 V and 690V) are given in Table 2.1. for 400V, in Table 2.2. for 500V units, for 690V units in Table 2.3 and 200V units in Table 2.4. New hardware is marked in the type code as follows:
