Introduction • Charles Kirkland's love of politics, and history since he was a young boy in Nebraska triggered the creation of a political boardgame kids would love to play and learn about American politics. Mr. Kirkland enjoys boardgames and wanted to help in the the education of tomorrow's youth. He is the founder and creator of the boardgame President-Elect. A family-friendly game, President Elect is made up of a Monopoly-style game board as well as issue and scandal cards. The goal of the game is to earn the most Electoral College votes by overcoming challenges, such as those impacting employment and tax legislations.
  • 3. President Elect • Real political issues also appear in President Elect to educate players about historical events, such as Watergate. The game is appropriate for ages 8 and older and can be purchased at stores throughout Phoenix.
