Nanuet Professional Development Technology Cheat Sheet Wallwisher Wallwisher is a quick and easy way to create an online collaboration space. You can think of Wallwisher as an online bulletin board of post it notes. No account is needed to create a Wallwisher wall. You do need to give your email address but this is so you can edit your wall and you are sent an email giving the URL for the wall you created. You start with a blank wall and double click on any area of the wall to add a post it note. Post it notes can contain text or multimedia. Your wall can be opened up to students to post. You have the option to moderate posts. Wallwisher has the potential to be an online note taker, brainstorming tool or digital KWL chart. 1) Navigate your browser to http://www.wallwisher.com. 2) Wallwisher is a free service, you need to give your name and email address but this is so you can have access to edit your wall and an email with the URL of your wall is sent to you. You can register for the service if you want to keep track of all of your walls in one place. A demo wall lets you preview the service. Click on Build a Wall to start your own. 3) After you click on build a wall you are ready to create your website. The process can literally take 5 minutes. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that you need to complete each step for your wall to be created. Start with selecting an image to represent yourself. You do have the option to upload an image. Give your wall a title and description. 4) Enter your name and email address so you can edit your wall and receive an email with the URL of your wall.
5) Give a description for the URL of your wall. You can make the wall and posting ability public or private. You can choose to moderate posts. 6) Choose a theme for the background of your wall and press Done.
7) Your wall is now created and you will be redirected to the wall and sent an email with the URL of your wall. You can share the URL with students or link it to your webpage. Start double clicking anywhere on the wall to add a post. Posts can contain text or a link to video, audio or photos. You have the ability to name your posts.
