QuTech’s BPA with NINDS includes two (2) broad Task Areas, as follows; • IT Opera�on and Maintenance Support This task area supports the Office of the Director, the Division of Extramural Research ac�vi�es and Division of Intramural Research for clinical and basic neuroscience research within NINDS. The objec�ve of this task area is to provide desktop and infrastructure support and to maintain IT systems and equipment, hardware and so�ware, IT processes and procedures that support these research and program ac�vi�es. Provides helpdesk support to researchers and administra�ve staff by providing IT opera�onal support, both technical and non-technical, and maintenance services for the systems and equipment used to support NINDS missions. The contractor shall maintain NINDS desktop and laptop configura�ons that meet federal mandated security standards includes, but is not limited to the following so�ware: 1. Microso� (MS) Windows XP or Vista; Mac OS and Linux Opera�ng systems 2. Microso� Office or NIH and NINDS supported licensed so�ware 3. Microso� Internet Explorer and other web browsers 4. Automa�c security updates and McAfee An�-virus or spyware 5. Desktop and laptop standard security configura�on and encryp�on 6. In-house developed applica�ons suppor�ng both administra�on and scien�fic research • System Administra�on and Informa�on Security Support This task area provides on-site IT system/server and network opera�onal and maintenance support including, but not limited to, network infrastructure planning, design and configura�on, tes�ng network resources hardware and so�ware server and special-use worksta�on installa�on, performance tuning and maintenance, end-user support and problem resolu�on, technical system integra�on, and provide system capacity analysis and planning for NINDS.
