I welcome the opportunity to recommend Dominique Powers.
Dominique, was an enthusiastic, hard-working, self-motivated student. She
has an excellent work ethic, is intellectually curious, and is a mature, reliable,
friendly team member. Dominique works hard to master skills and acquire
knowledge. She is empathetic, assertive, yet able to accept constructive
criticism and is always willing to work hard at applying her learning, even
redoing it to acquire more mastery.
Dominique Powers utilized my program, Medical Technology Careers, during
high school in order to explore health career roles, and acquire knowledge
and skills needed in any health care setting. She has expressed an interest in
becoming a Registered Nurse early in her first of (2) years in my program.
She participated in several job shadows, then chose to complete the
Phlebotomy curriculum the last semester of her senior year, recognizing it as
a skill that would be useful in her goal to become a Registered Nurse. Her
Phlebotomy mentor rated her as “Exceeds Expectations” in both her technical
skills and her work habits.
I believe Dominique is motivated to do her best. She does not fear failure,
but sees shortcomings as a challenge to be met and overcome. She is an
industrious and motivated young woman. She managed her academic life,
held a part-time job, participated in many leadership activities through
Dansville High School, and yet was able to run a small cake baking business
in which her artistic ability came through! Dominique sees herself as a
contributor to our society and takes action! She has personal strength that will
insure achievement of her goals, and I am delighted to have been able to
assist her development!
