Nanyang Executive Programme Interpretation & Analysis of Financial Statements and Reports Programme Director Bio Adjunct Associate Professor Ng Liew Peng Division of Accounting Nanyang Business School BACKGROUND Ng Liew Peng is an adjunct associate professor with the Accounting Division at the Nanyang Business School. She had exposure in both the academic field and in the industry. Prior to joining the academic field, Liew Peng had extensive experience in international accounting firms and banking institutions. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Singapore, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand. EXPERIENCE As a practicing accountant, Liew Peng specializes in corporate finance, accounting, auditing and financial statement analysis. Liew Peng had also worked closely with consultants from the former National Productivity Board on productivity improvement programmes, which in turn give her the ability to examine business information by using non-financial performance measures. Liew Peng first joined the academia as an adjunct associate professor in NUS, conducting courses in her specialty areas at the MBA level. She then joined NTU as an adjunct associate professor with the Accounting Division. Liew Peng has accumulated over 20 years of experience and she is known for her ability to conduct seminars by using a hands-on approach, which facilitates an effective learning process. 3
