Naperville Woman’s Club Landmark Remodeling Project

Naperville Woman's Club’s Landmark building at 14 South Washington Street underwent extensive remodeling to remove architectural barriers. Members, guests and renters now enjoy full access to this historical Gothic Revival structure built in 1899. Three years of creative planning with the help of Naperville Heritage Society, Opperman Architects and Sequoia General Contracting Corp. led to a successful renovation. Naperville Woman’s Club now offers accessibility in ways that compliment an architecturally significant building. Their efforts adapted Naperville’s locally-designated Landmark for community use, while retaining this symbol of the City’s working class roots, religious origins and culture.
