In the Event of an Emergency, How Would You Notify and Instruct All of Your Employees Instantly? <ul><li>Messaging Feature: Selected Individuals with Administrative controls will have the ability to send messages to individuals or groups that will pop up onto the users’ screens. </li></ul><ul><li>Send Messages to a selected group such as: “Turn in your timecards.” </li></ul><ul><li>Send an instant alert to every employee in the case of an emergency. The message will pop up onto each employees screen within seconds. </li></ul><ul><li>Email is so overloaded that an employee on his/her computer may not read an email right away. Imaginaire’s messaging feature will pop up onto the screen. If an employee is on the computer, s/he will see the message and can check a box to confirm that s/he has read and understood the message. </li></ul>

Data will be stored in the following tables: This is the table that stores the users assigned to receive a specific message. Message User Assignment This is the table that stores the groups assigned to receive a specific message. Message Group Assignment This table stores the username and a date stamp of when a specific message was read. Messages Read This table stores group ids and the usernames assigned to each group. Users can be assigned to multiple groups. User Message Group Assignment Administrators can create custom groups and assign users to the groups so that messages can be sent to message groups without having to individually select users every time a message goes out to a set of people. Message Groups This table stores all messages that will be sent out to users and user message groups. Fields included are First Attempt (date time), Last Attempt (date time) , on screen seconds, priority and message create date. Messages This is already part of the Imaginaire Admin Tool. This table as its name suggests stored the username (network login name) and actual name of the users. Users Table Description Tables
  • 7. Instant Messaging Cont. <ul><li>Three reports are included that list the message groups, the messages, and the messages read tables. Date ranges can be selected on the latter two reports. </li></ul><ul><li>Imaginaire will, at an agreed on interval, check for unread current messages and place them on the screen based on priority number. After the message window closes, user information will post to the server so that administrators can determine which messages have been read and by whom. </li></ul>
