  • 2.  Popular Culture/Pop Culture is a style, idea, perspective, and the completely different attitude from mainstream culture 'mainstream'  Indications of popular culture is a sense of liked a very large against everything that happens around us every day, such as fashion, movies, music, food, and so on.  Popular culture much influenced by the mass media (at least since the beginning of the 20th century) and turned on continuously by various local cultures and lifestyles.
  • 3.  The phenomenon of popular culture, can not be separated from the interference of the industry that gives rhythm and a strong influence on lifestyle and trends of this time  The development of popular culture in society, actualy occur as a result and logical consequence of the pattern of life from modern human civilization, which is built based on the pleasure, which is actually not substantially.  The strength of popular culture in society has been reach a point where society accepts various changes to the way of life, lifestyle and even worldview, which on the other side has threatened the existence of various forms of indigenous heritage, customs, values, identity and local cultural symbols.

  • 5.  Clothing as artifacts of human culture has been influenced also by the global culture that is popular.  Clothing become the trading commodities which promises profit.  Clothing manufactured to fulfill various elements in life, such as supporting the activities or tailored to the types of activities and events, financial condition and various ornaments, the elements of health, political, religious elements, elements of education and entertainment elements. From it all, the most important is fashion to be a means of improving the user's identity.
  • 6.  The patterns of behavior in the use of clothing, so often contain consumption activities with certain symbolic meanings (prestige, status and class) with a certain pattern and tempo settings called the culture of Consumerism.  Culture of consumerism as a culture of consumption that is supported by the creation of symbolic differentiation in the process of consumption, is also constitute shopping culture, which the process of change and development of that, is driven by the logic of "desire" and "want" than "need".  This condition is a powerful weapon for market participants to build an opinion in creating new needs in society, especially fashion products, so that their products salable in the market.
  • 7.  Some things in the field of fashion that is very influential in rolling the popular culture is a collaboration between industry parties with mass media that with very passionate has been propagandize the fashion trends, to be worn by all the world community.  The most powerful weapon to pierce the hegemony of society in using a product fashion is through entertainment's arts workers or public figures (celebrities).  Their ability to delve the emotions of their fans, into a very large force for the perpetrators of the fashion business, in offering the popular culture propaganda
