  • 2. I. The role of media in promoting for political agendas: Oriented media Influential resources Media and lobbies II. The role of politics in controlling the human's perception :Americanization Culture Lifestyle Capitalism system III. Conclusion 2
  • 3.  Media is the plural form of a word borrowed directly from Latin. It means an intervening agency and source of information . Oriented media:  The media’s original purpose was to inform the public of the relevant events ,cover the aspects of contemporary life ,and search out of the truth. Indeed, Media has became playing on the sense of security threats and the escalation of conflicts scenarios in order to control people's perceptions in politics . That is highly endorsed by the widespread of media categories and technology. 3
  • 4. For example: In 2004, The media used the act of terrorist bombing to ouster the center-right party in Spain led by Jose Luis Zapatero only 4 days before national's election. 4
  • 5.  "Freedom of the press is guaranteed only to those who own one.“ by the journalist Abbott Joseph Liebling  The media plays a larger role in governance, campaigns and activism. Social and digital media are changing politics .It used a pure selective material to affect people's conscious . Financial support is leading to increased political polarization. 5
  • 6.  The CNN channels has declared Barack Obama the next American president before six month from the national election in 2008. 6
  • 7.  The mainstream media is owned and controlled by a few corporate conglomerates. This pattern of ownership leaves very little room for critical and challenging journalism and democracy . This dominance threats the notion of free will and create a policy of global imperialism. For example:  Jews in America are only two percent of the nation's population. They owned 25 % of the elite journalists and publishers. Jewish lobby spends about $2-3 million each year in lobbying Congress. 7

  • 9.  Politics is the activities that related to influence the actions and policies of a government. Culture:The American language has been expanded for all the world, through media, TV (like American series that pass in the world). As lingua franca, the English has been used to facilitate communication . This policy used the main media markets to spread the notion of "the chosen ones“ .It includes a sense of heroism and superiority to cover the American interfere in others countries policy. 9
  • 10. For example:  In Hollywood ,films’producers always tend to portray Americans as the greatest and smartest ones, whom will save humanity from evil forces . 10
  • 11.  The growth and influence of American culture has increased greatly due to advancements in technology. Countries all around the world, now more than ever, are becoming familiar with American lifestyle and finding it appealing. For example "the American dream" has become a notion that people aim to achieve. It is driving force to make money, freedom and better life. 11
  • 12.  Due to globalization ,the media has enhanced the transition of the America's model of policy. Many non-western countries adopt these political-economic systems and modernized their societies to become a part of the western civilization like south Korea and Singapore 12
  • 13.  Media undeniably embodies a variety of reading regarding its techniques in shaping societies, institutionalized techniques and systematic governance make its role evolve as long as the whole programs and agendas go on. Accordingly , Media shapes politics and fuels it, politicians and decision makers claim that Media must only perform its positive role and persistently argue that some voices must be silenced even in a democratic society. This double-vision needs a further explanation and reading considering other motifs and themes. 13
