SDLC PMLC Governance Prioritization/ Inception (Step 2) Planning/ Elaboration (Step 3) Closing/ Transition (Step 5) Preliminary Selection (Step 1) Post Implementation Review Controlling & Executing/ Construction (Step 4) Coming in March 2015: IM/IT Project Governance and Integrated Lifecycle Workflow (A new and improved Website) The ProcessImprovementCommunityof Practice whichhasrepresentatives from IMS at both NHQ and the Regions andJacqueline Burke as the Chair, have been working very diligently over the past year to replace the SDLC website which is currently published on InfoNet. This new and improved site will provide guidance and tools, including templates; for Portfolio Advisors, Project Managers, Project Coordinatorsandany otherpartiesof interest.Thissite will describe the governance which is the entry pointto the variousothergoverningbodiesthatsupportsprojects either existing or net new. It should be noted that the workflow which will be published on the new website will not deal with OMS operational initiatives.There are governingbodiesthat are responsible for decision making such as the Information Management and Technology Advisory Board (IMTAB), the Information Management Services(IMS) Management Team, the Project Review Committee (PRC), the Cost Estimation Working Group (CEWG), and the Project Architecture Review Committee (PARC) including input from Shared ServicesCanada(SCC) fromaninfrastructure perspective. These committees and management teams are inplace to help facilitate the movement of projects through the 5 gating processes that are part of the CSC – IM/IT Governance Model aswell asprovidingthe necessaryapprovalsthatare requiredto see those projects through to completion.
