Section: 2007 Published: United Arab Emirates, Tuesday, February 06 - 2007 at 15:41 (GMT+4) Justin Lee appointed Regional Director of Human Resources, Middle East & Africa and Director of Human Resources, The Fairmont Dubai John Williams, Executive Vice President for Europe, Africa and The Middle East and Kamal Naamani, General Manager, The Fairmont Dubai are pleased to announce the appointment of Justin Lee as Regional Director of Human Resources, Middle East and Africa and Director of Human Resources, The Fairmont Dubai. In this newly created role, Lee will be responsible for developing the human resources departments for a number of new Fairmont properties under development, including Palm Island, Abu Dhabi, Cairo and Kenya. Creating this new position in the Middle East and Africa will position us well in this rapidly growing global environment, affirms Kamal Naamani. Justin will be equipped to place our most talented and professional people in leadership positions throughout the region so that we may continue to exceed guests expectations. Lee brings a wealth of experience to his new position with a career spanning 15 years, beginning with progressive food and beverage positions with A&W Restaurants and McDonalds in Singapore. His service experience was supplemented by several hospitality assignments, including Assistant Human Resource Manager, Swiss-Garden Hotel Kuala Lumpur; Assistant Personnel Manager and Training Manager, Renaissance & New World Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. He joins Fairmont Hotels & Resorts from Ritz Carlton Hotel Company where he has held progressive positions since 1998, including Director, Training & Development, The Ritz Carlton, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Director of Human Resources, The Ritz Carlton, Dubai and his most recent position before joining Fairmont, as Director of Human Resources, Bahrain. Lee holds an MBA in Hospitality Management and Psychology from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, a Diploma in Hotel Management from Stamford College, Kuala Lumpur and a double major in post-graduate studies in Hospitality Management and Training Psychology from Michigan State University.
