  • 3. Abraham Lincoln: 16th President• Born February 12th, 1809.• He was born in Kentucky and then moved to Indiana.• When his family moved to Illinois in 1830, he was a shoekeeper, postmaster and a general store owner.• He began his political career in 1834.
  • 4. The Greatest of All American Presidents• He was elected state legislature and supported the Whig Party.• This helped him with his views on slavery.• He decided to become a lawyer.• Lincoln served a single term in the U.S House of Representatives from 1847- 1849.
