  • 1. KANSAS CITY, Mo. – West Liberty’s narrow win over eighth-ranked Fairmont State Saturday kept the Hilltoppers at the top of the NABC/Division II rankings for the second week in a row, as WLU was a unanimous pick as the top-ranked team. West Liberty pulled out an 88-86 win to pick up all 16 first place votes, putting it well ahead of second- ranked Augustana and third-ranked Western Oregon in this week’s poll. Augustana and Western Oregon both recorded a pair of decisive wins last week to move up a spot, while Minnesota State-Moorhead picked up two road wins in conference play to jump into fourth over Cal Poly Pomona. Angelo State also moved up one spot to sixth this week, while King made a four-position advance into seventh as it remained undefeated. Tarleton State is eighth this week, followed by Southern Connecticut State, who fell from second to ninth after a loss at New Haven on Wednesday. Fairmont State rounds out the top 10, while unbeaten Rollins comes in at No. 11. The Tars, whose nine wins are the most by any of the 14 remaining undefeated teams in the nation, are followed by Midwestern State, Seattle Pacific, UC San Diego and Colorado School of Mines. Lincoln Memorial checks in at No. 16 this week, with Queens (N.C.), Ashland, Ferris State and California Baptist completing the top 20. Ashland recorded road wins last week over two previously undefeated teams – Grand Valley State and Ferris State – to stay perfect and move into the national rankings for the first time in 10 seasons. The final five teams in this week’s poll are Central Missouri, Chico State, Bellarmine, Union and Philadelphia. Union, who is 8-0 on the year, makes its first-ever appearance in the rankings as a member of NCAA Division II. NABC/Division II Rankings (Dec. 8, 2015 – Poll #3) Record Points Last 1.
