While traditional wind turbines in a simplified manner only need to relate to gravity and aerodynamics, offshore floating systems will have to master several additional dimensions such as dynamic loads from current and waves, seabed anchoring, corrosive environment and providing personnel access to moving structures.   • 3. GroFish TM technology is a chemical-free, all-natural organic treatment to grow seafood healthier, larhger, and faster. GroFish TM technology not only enhances the growth but also improves the resistance of treated animals against diseases. GroFish TM satisfies the need for an environmentally friendly method to generate a more sustainable food source. Any creature living in water can be treated. So far, over thirty aquatic species treated include Atlantic and Pacific salmon, rainbow trout, tilapia, carp, channel catfish, hybrid striped bass, prawns, shrimp, abalone, mussels, clams, sea cucumbers, coral, and even bullfrogs. EWOS Innovation documented a large salmon feed trial – where the level of marine proteins and marine oil was reduced – compared to commercial raw materials used today in the Norwegian industry. Data was collected on the performance of fish and also several other parameters. Marine oil and protein dependency ratios were also calculated. Prinsippet er veldig enkelt. Både praktiske forsøk og målinger på slangen viser at den statiske elektrisitet ledes ut av slangen og jordes i sjøen. Metoden er patentert og teknologien er blant annet bygget opp på den kunnskap og erfaring som 10-15 år med leveranser til oljebransjen har gitt oss. Enheten, Stingray Node, er produsert i sterke materialer og med et design som tar hensyn til både mennesker, fiskene og miljøet i havet. The market for LFC’s (Live Fish Carriers) is growing along with the global fish farming industry and with increased focus on biosecurity, fish welfare and fish quality, it is clearly a need for renewal and modernization of the global LFC fleet. The flexible concept will also make further operational improvements easily possible as new technologies are developed or other tasks are required performed by the LFC, without rebuilding the vessel.   • 12. Developing an integrated system for biomass metrics and breach control. A capsule/sonar system, patented by Seafood Security, makes up the core technology for breach control. The capsules are tracked via pen-mounted sonars and integrated with GSM technology for immediate detection and activation.   • 13. Chitosan oligomers (CHOS) have antifungal activities and have the potential to reduce the use of toxic synthetic fungicides in agriculture significantly. Fungal infections on crops are a huge global problem. More than 10% of all crops are lost due to fungal infections. The objective of the WhiteFishmaLL project is to develop a branding concept for whitefish from the N-Atlantic that differentiates in terms of sustainable production and superior consumer benefits. In order to identify consumer perception of N-Atlantic whitefish product, fish consumers and other stakeholders in the value chain have been approached through direct interviews, focus group sessions and large qualitative survey. Automation to Improve Yield and Product Quality Whitefish processing is about to take a giant leap forward, with the launch of Marel’s FleXicut, a trimming robot for high precision bone detection and removal. The bones in whitefish are notoriously difficult to locate and remove, and the process traditionally requires a lot of skilled labor. Compared with manual deboning of whitefish, the FleXicut is much more efficient in terms of labor, quality, and yield.   • 17. The experiment has been a joint project between Scanbio and Felleskjøpet Fôrutvikling (FKF) for testing the nutritional value of ScanPro 35/4 (FPH). FPH at different inclusion levels and a dried product of FPH mixed (1:1) with soy protein concentrate (HP310) were tested against LT fish meal on production and health parameters in piglets.   • 18. Preline Fishfarming System AS has tested in three Versions a submerged raceway, with high flow. These tests have shown promising results. Based on this the Preline Extended Smolt Farm has been designed and patented. Smolt is farmed up to 1000 grams, after which the fish is transferred to ordinary net pens. The Technology has multiple advantages: The raceway solution gives an environment with a consistently high water flow, emulating a river. The water speed and exercise for the fish can be varied and controlled. This will ensure a more healthy fish with a high quality for further farming.
