(MRPL), a joint venture (JV) between Mahindra, one of India’s leading auto brands and Renault is set to launch a new variant called Logan Tourer. Logan Tourer is a special edition by Mahindra Renault and will be showcased during the Auto-Expo in January 2010. The Logan Tourer is available in both petrol / diesel options and is available in 3 colors – java brown, mist silver and diamond white. The Logan Tourer was conceptualised as a co-branding in collaboration with VIP, India’s leading luggage brand, a tie-up that ensures the consumer gets all he’ll need for that

Our idea behind co-branding with VIP was to combine its trustworthiness with Logan’s reliability, space and robustness in order to give our customers the satisfaction of an enhanced packaged offering This adds a whole new dimension of fun and adventure to the Logan’s existing value proposition of space, fuel efficiency and economy.” said Mr. Nalin Mehta, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Renault Pvt. Ltd. The new Logan Tourer will be available at all Mahindra Renault dealerships across India. Added Features: Logan Tourer has a high end music system that enables hands free telephony via Bluetooth, and also sports USB/iPOD connectivity. Coupled with color coordinated seat covers, rich wood finish centre fascia and end rack, floor mats and an enhanced carpet. The vehicle also sports fog lamps in the mid variant,, which were earlier in the top end versions. Additionally the car has new 14 “ wheel caps and black B pillar strips to add to the exterior look. About the Logan The Logan has received a tremendous response since its launch.. It has also received several prestigious industry accolades since its launch. These include the ‘Car of the Year 2007’ by HT Cars & Bikes, a supplement of the Hindustan Times, the Business Standard Motoring Jury Award 2008 and the NDTV Car India & Bike India ‘Midsize Car of the Year’ Award. The joint venture is a 51:49 partnership between Mahindra & Mahindra and Renault. The state-of-the-art Logan facility in Nashik offers a body shop, stamping shop, a paint shop with a top quality pre-treatment and an assembly line specific for the Logan. The Mahindra Renault Logan was launched on April 3. Commercial sales began in May.
