Project-3: Project title : Modal Analysis of Conveyor frame Client : Joy Global, Australia. Tool : Ansys Workbench Project Description:  To change the natural frequencies of the structureand to suggest permanent, economical solution for the existing field failureproblemin the conveyor.  Modal analysisof conveyor is performed to get the best possibledesign and modificationswere suggested based on FEA. Suggestions were given by consideringdesign and manufacturingfeasibility Project-4: Project title : Static Structural Analysis of Shuttle car chassis Client : Joy Global, South Africa. Tool : Ansys Workbench Project Description:  To conductStatic Structural FiniteElement Analysis and to determine if the reinforcement plates added to the chassiswill reducethe stress for increased life.  The suspension cylinders aremodeled as springs,pinsaremodeled as beams and coal load applied as hydrostatic pressure  The wheel units were modeled as singlesolid bodies with beammechanisms for correctforce vector load transfer through the body and the reaction forces are checked through hand calculations to validatethe analysi s. Project-5: Project title : Design and Analysis of Typical Winch Assembly Client : Joy Global, USA. Tool : Ansys Workbench Project Description:  To design and analyze the new winch assembly and to provide cost effective design solution with minimum material condition.  Hand calculations arecarried outfor calculatingtheforces that should be applied on the winch for the worst case scenario.  Several design modifications were suggested based on FEA. Suggestions were given by considering design and manufacturing feasibility. These suggested design changes were meeting the requirement.
