National Year of Reading 2012.A wide range of activities have been organised to celebrate this important year. There is somethingfor every reader including: The Reading Hour on August 25th, A Reading Super-hero competition, abook trailer competition based around what young people read, Are we there yet? Touringexhibition and displays and some fun activities organised by the school library. Check out the displayin the Library and the Library webpage for more information. Stay tuned for details of thecompetitions and most important of all, keep reading. The official website is www.love2read.org.au.A great way to help celebrate the year is to take part in the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge.Students in years 7 to 10 are encouraged to register for the challenge which involves reading 15novels before September. Each participating student will receive a certificate signed by the Premierand will also be awarded with a new novel of their own.
