Nagual Sounds - music technology for the 21st century
The idea of selling fixed music will become archaic in the next decade. Why should everybody that hears your music hear the exact same thing, forever, regardless of their sound system, regardless of their location, regardless of what they are doing and regardless of who they are? We developed a worldwide unique technology and we have the patent on the process which allows us to convert any kind of data-stream in real-time into music. Through our software it is possible to turn an existing song into an interactive version. This piece of music then does not consist of pre-produced musical sequences, but of musical possibilities. Over the actual music decides the behavior of the used data source. To enable the creation of different styles of music, we created a new musical format: the Interactive Song. Our sound design team carefully studies scales, chords and melodies, shapes all synth sounds, plays drums and percussion and defines what parameters changes on every subtle movement. All notes are created by the software synthesizers and samplers. The secret of an Interactive Song is to provide possibilities for every instrument. However, the generated music does not contain “wrong” abstract sounds or out of scale notes. Combining these sound elements in endless variations, the user is artist, conductor and orchestra at the same time. This method can be used in all areas and devices, where control data are available. This new way of music production is a totally new approach to involve fans in an artist's music and a completely new revenue stream for the artists themselves. They can enrich their album with additional interactivated songs which the fans then can use with our apps which we create for devices like smartwatches, Smartphones, 3D Motion Tracking camera, fitness wristbands, VR, etc. Fields of application are therapy, fitness and entertainment.
Through this technology, music is finally vividly and intuitively controllable by everyone.

The next stage of music creation
We at Nagual Sounds developed a worldwide unique technology, and we have
the patent on the process which allows us to convert any kind of data-stream in
real-time into music.
Nagual Sounds Technology
Through our software, input data can be used as a tool to personalize pieces of
music, in order to create individual interpretations of a source file in real time.
Through this, music is vividly and intuitively controllable.

An exploding market
The core element of the Nagual technology is the new standardized musical
format of the future: The Interactive Song.
It’s a piece of music that does not consist of pre-produced musical sequences,
but of musical possibilities. Over the actual music decides the behavior of the
used data source.
These Interactive Songs can be produced for all kind of genres, and any already
existing song can be turned into an interactive composition.

Nagual Dance (B2B)
Our first commercial product, Nagual Dance, works with the data of a 3D camera
as input for our software. It’s a new interactive music experience that turns your
body into an orchestra.
The software “assigns” specific sound elements and instruments to the arms and
legs which can be played through movement.

Mark Moebius (39) // CEO is a trained and experienced composer, which gave him the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to develop the musical
foundations of the Nagual technology. His longstanding experience as composer and the realisation of many musical major projects with several parties (opera,
musical theatre, orchestral music) enabled Mark Moebius to structure the production process at Nagual Sounds and lead the team as creative director. He
developed the structure of the Interactive Song by programming the functions of harmonics as modules of musical signal processing. These modules are pre-
set and combined with each other depending on the musical style of an Interactive Song. Creative director Mark Moebius’major competence is in interactive
composition and coding.
Stephan Höhme (37) // CFO studied business administration at Greifswald University, graduating with a degree as Diplom-Kaufmann (MBA equivalent). Having
specialised in the fields of controlling, human resources and organisational psychology, he brings with him the skills needed for the long-term successful
commercial management at Nagual Sounds. Together with Mark Moebius, he developed the Nagual Sounds business model. His function in the team consists
of organising business operations, sales, purchase and all “non-creative” administrative proceedings.
Artur Reimer (32) //CDO is head of musical production at Nagual Sounds. His longstanding experience as DJ and music producer makes him the perfect person
for this job. He has released many tracks on international labels and is well-versed in the styles and challenges of electronic music. Together with Mark
Moebius, he designs and crafters the basic foundations of the Interactive Songs, which in the next step he works on as music producer, i.e. connecting the MIDI
notes with electronic sound generators. This makes him responsible for the “sound” of Nagual Sounds. The production of the Interactive Songs requires mixing
and brilliant sound design. His responsibility, in contrast with Moebius’ more music-theoretical work, is therefore in the practical aspect of production.
Sébastien Roger (24) //CTO is head of software development at Nagual Sounds. Through his studies at IRCAM and UPMC Institute in Paris, the European
centres for electronic music, he is superbly qualified for this job. In addition, Sébastien Roger brings with him great practical experience as programmer in
various different areas of the software industry. He has already worked for Native Instruments in Berlin, the market leader in the area of synthesizers and
electronic instruments. His responsibility in the team is to design the software modules devised by Mark Moebius and Artur Reimer and to integrate them into
a holistic software structure. He has programmed all existing modules in Pure Data and C++ in collaboration with Mark Moebius.
Matthias Strobel (32) // CMO is responsible for corporate communications and all strategic organisations of Nagual Sounds. His training as audio-visual media
clerk at large German public-service TV broadcaster ZDF has acquainted him with the economic aspects of media production and the media system. During his
work on several ZDF productions he gained insights on internal and external processes as well as organisational and media work. To expand his skills and
knowledge, he took up a study in business communications at the HTW University of Applied Sciences in Berlin in September 2008. In his bachelor thesis he
focused on the strategic communications planning of independent musicians in the era of digitalisation, as many of his friends had been working on the music
industry for years and he had been able to follow closely the changes the sector underwent. He graduated successfully in February 2012. Since September
2012 he has been developing the corporate identity, the network and strategy for the future activities of Nagual Sounds.
