How It’s Made The sheet is made of 5 layers in 3easy steps An aluminum foil is pressed out forthe bottom layer A thin layer of the elementmolybdenum is printed onto this foillayer Another press is used to cover itwith 3 more layers consisting of asemiconducting ink, a P/N junctionlayer, and a zinc oxide electrodeconducting layer.

How It Works Light passes to the middlesemiconducting ink layer,which breaks up theelectrons. The molybdenum on thefourth layer acts as anelectrode, and as the endof the circuit. The second layer is a P/Njunction, which conductsthe electrons through tothe top layer. The top layer conducts theelectrons and work as thebeginning of the circuit.
