How It’s Made The sheet is made of 5 layers in 3easy steps An aluminum foil is pressed out forthe bottom layer A thin layer of the elementmolybdenum is printed onto this foillayer Another press is used to cover itwith 3 more layers consisting of asemiconducting ink, a P/N junctionlayer, and a zinc oxide electrodeconducting layer.
How It Works Light passes to the middlesemiconducting ink layer,which breaks up theelectrons. The molybdenum on thefourth layer acts as anelectrode, and as the endof the circuit. The second layer is a P/Njunction, which conductsthe electrons through tothe top layer. The top layer conducts theelectrons and work as thebeginning of the circuit.
