  • 1. The Najmon’s Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23 January 2014 Praises:  Bank account  God’s faithful blessings  A blessed year Prayer Requests:  Possibility of attending language school  Growth of financial support  Traveling during support raising From 2013—2014 As I (Megan) reflect on this past year, I recall quite a few changes. I left my job to support raise full time alongside Ross, we became an Aunt and Uncle for the 6th time to another beautiful niece, we relocated to Indiana, Megan’s parents moved from their home and church family of 18 years, and we had the transition of our bank account. This year has definitely had many changes and transitions. In each one we have seen God’s hand and provision. We are so thankful we serve a God that walks with us through each step of everyday. As we prepare for the coming days of 2014 and the changes and transitions it will bring, we lean on the trust we have in our Savior. In this coming year we will continue to raise the funds we need for the work we are preparing for in Italy. We are ever trusting in our God’s timing and fully rely that His schedule and timetable is better than ours could ever be. We have been blessed abundantly with one time gifts that will go towards our start-up costs upon arriving in Italy as well as funding for the language school we will be attending. We are currently at 20% of our monthly funds needed. We still have a ways to go, but we are confident in the Lord’s timing. The opportunity for us to attend lan- guage school this fall is looking promising, even at just 20%. We covet your prayers as we look to this opportunity. We would love to be fully supported, of course, before we leave. Our prayers for this year are that the doors are opened and that we will be connected with those who are able to support us through prayer as well as toward our financial goal. Even though we have had a year of changes and transitions, we are hoping for one more in this coming year — our move to Italy. We ask you to join with us in praying for this year, for all that the Lord has in store for us, and for the doors to be opened. Traveling in 2014 It is encouraging to be at the start of a new year and looking at a calendar with travel dates already filled in. It is encouraging to know that our year is starting off with opportunities to share about the work being done in Italy. If you are a church, small group, Bible study, Sunday school class, or individual that would like us to visit please let us know. We always love any occasion to share and encourage others about what the Lord is doing through His people. We have spent many hours and miles on the road throughout support raising. We have always felt God’s protection for us as we travel! But we still would like to ask that you would continue your prayers for our safety as we travel.

If we are in your area we would love to plan a time to see you! Resolutions As we start this new year, most of us start off with new resolutions and the things we are hoping to change for ourselves in the coming year. One verse that has stuck out to me is from Hebrews, chapter 10. The Hebrews writer is urging us to remain faithful; faithful in our God who has in turn promised to be faithful. He goes on to encourage us towards love, good deeds, and continuing to meet together. Wishing you a Happy New Year! Among all the new resolutions and things we hope to change in the coming year, I hope there is one resolution that will be remaining the same each year—to obey this call on our lives and faithfulness in Hebrews.
