  • 2. GROUP PROJECT March 2014 History matching and IOR development strategy I was the given the task of History matching of a depleted oil field. The basic task was to improve the dynamic model and to history match it. FLPR, FPR, FOPR and FWCT were matched by running different sensitivity analysis. Furthermore, IOR development strategy was used to produce the incremental oil. Horizontal well was introduced in the simulation model along with Polymer flooding, which resulted in about 5.6 % incremental oil. NPV of 5 million was achieved. BACHELORS PROJECT/THESIS Effects of Interfacial Tension (IFT) in Retrograde Condensate Reservoirs; A Simulation Approach Feb 2012 Condensate is a valuable asset and it is often not produced properly. Fluid dynamics plays an important role in predicting the performance and production of any field or reservoir. The project was based on the effect of IFT on production profile “field data” was used and simulation was performed by using Schlumberger Eclipse software to observe and study the effect of IFT upon condensate and gas production. Successful results were obtained and it was concluded that IFT affects the relative permeability and critical condensate saturation up to an appreciable extent. MASTERS PROJECT/THESIS Pore Network Modeling; A simplified representation of the 3D flow pattern in porous media Sep 2015 Pore network models are used to represent the pore structure based on different algorithms. Most commonly used algorithm is Maximal ball. A C++ code was used to extract the pore structure from the microCT image of the rock sample. Preprocessing of the image was done by using an open software “ImageJ”. After the extraction of the code two phase simulation was performed by code also written in C++. Absolute permeability and porosity were calculated using different layers and the whole pore network model. The results achieved by simulation were robust and in agreement with benchmark data. Rhinoceros software was used for the visualization of the pore network model.
