What I’ve learned: This position has taught me a large amount in the line of customer interactions and has greatly improved my communication skills. I’ve enjoyed working as part of a team have made some very good friends. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:  Designed a small CO2 powered car that won best designed car in F-Type division of F1 in Schools Regional Finals as well as highest scoring Portfolio on the day.  Played and won Minor Michael Walsh cup with Carras football club. PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS Student member of Engineers Ireland since late 2013. I.T. SKILLS & LANGUAGES  Proficient programmer in C, C++ and Java as well as assembly code.  Have studied inheritance and polymorphism.  Have written programmes for college projects as well as a past time.  Skilled in Excel, Autocad, Matlab, eclipse and visual studio.  German- Conversational level. INTERESTS I am very interested in computers and computer programming. I started programming when I entered University in NUIG and have since fallen in love with it. Would like to be working in electronics or any related field this summer. Repairing computers and phones is a hobby of mine and I have replaced/repaired parts of friend’s phones on multiple occasions. While my course is software orientated I have a great interest in the physical components of computers and microprocessors. I’m also a big fan of Formula 1. In second year of secondary school, I was team captain of our F1 In- Schools team that made it to regional finals, where the car I had designed on Solid Works won the prize for Best Designed Car on the day. I’m also a member of Kilmaine G.A.A. club and have a big interest in football. I’m currently playing U21 and Junior A but hope in the coming months to be called up to the Intermediate team.
