Speaking at inaugural function of Seminar on Renewable Energy: Present Scenario and Future Focus, Denmark ambassador to India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives Mr. Freddy Svane today said that India has planning commission, but it also needs implementation commission to see that whatever planned is also implemented on ground. Freddy said that there’s one place in India where things planned are also implemented and that is Gujarat.Freddy said this in presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who inaugurated this seminar jointly organized by the Government of Gujarat in collaboration with the Royal Danish Embassy and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Modi said how one km stretch of canal with solar panel over it will provide 1 MWpower and also save 1 crore liter water per year by preventing natural evaporation.
