POSITION DESCRIPTION Date Created 01 September 2014 Date Updates February 2015 Position Title Human Resources Integrated Training Officer Department Human Resources Reports to Human Resources Manager Supervision of: Nil Position Number PR-HR18 Salary Grading SECTION 1 POSITION SUMMARY DEVELOP Working with IT and relevant departments, develop core components of training using the MOODLE learning platform establishing a comprehensive library of appropriate training modules that build upon one another. DELIVER Facilitate both on line learning and face to face learning for Perth Racing staff. Liaise with IT to insure on line systems deliver optimum flexibility, reliability and output . Develop easy use ‘tool’ for employees to use. ADMINISTER Co-ordinate all elements of administration in relation to employee training records. Strategic Relationships • HR Manager & staff • All staff • External Providers Successful relationships developed Performance Management • 2 New modules to be developed and launched each calendar year. Priority: • Customer Service (10 modules) • Induction • OSH (4 modules) • Harassment / Bullying / EEO Other courses to be agreed • Insure core modules are undertaken by all employees • Report on learning outcomes • Maintain records for training undertaken • Enable users Trouble shoot on line access difficulties with the assistance of IT Assist with the monitoring and formulation of the Training Budget Facilitate all permanent staff inductions within one week of start date. Research and propose relevant training programs conducive with on line learning Liaise with other organisations (particularly Caulfield) in relation to what can be achieved through the MOODLE Learning environment Co-ordinate any training required for employees through relevant training providers as required Collate statistics and reports in relation to tangible results from training undertaken Provide support and assistance to general HR positions when required PR- H18 Integrated Training Officer Page 2

Alignment with Club Objectives SECTION 4 AUTHORITY LEVELS The Human Resources Integrated Training Officer is answerable to the Human Resources Manager and must operate within the authority levels as agreed by the Human Resources Manager. SECTION 5 COMPETENCY PROFILE Competencies • Sound interpersonal, verbal and written skills to relate to and be responsive to a broad range of both internal and external customers. • High level of skill in building on line training systems and modules • Demonstrated organisational skills • Ability to use initiative, discretion and judgement in resolving issues Good self- management skills and an ability to work independently. • Accuracy and attention to detail • Experience with strategic planning and procedures with relation to Training and Development of employees. • Ability to work within set budgets • Ability to develop and implement in-house training programs. Qualifications • Formal HR / IT / Education or similar qualifications desirable Knowledge • Knowledge of MOODLE or similar system essential • Knowledge of contracts of employment, award, non-award, current IR Legislation etc. Experience • Must have at least three years’ experience in a similar role. • Sound practical HR/IR experience is essential. Duties are likely to encompass manual handling of heavy objects and intermittent high levels of exertion.
