IT: Advanced user of Word, PowerPoint and experience of Excel from my university projects
and working in corporate roles. I also have experience of programming in Java and HTML
from my module Translation and Technology, one of my tasks was to create a website.
Communication: I developed excellent communication skills both through working as an
English tutor and Language assistant in Paris and also at House of Fraser. My ability to
communicate well with customers was acknowledged in an ‘Employee of the Month’ award.
My university course is also assessed on verbal communication, and I regularly give
presentations of my work to my peers.
Organisation: Working in a various busy environments helped develop my organisation
skills to ensure I worked efficiently and competently under pressure.
Events: I assisted in the organisation and running of the HSBC Foundation for Education
awards night that was held in February 2016 and I have also managed events for the African
Caribbean Society which I am a part of at university. These roles have given me an insight
into events management.
Sport: In my spare time I participate in Zumba classes with friends. I am also a regular gym
goer at my local gym.
Travel: I enjoy opportunities to travel within the UK and abroad.
Music: In addition to enjoying singing and performing, I play the piano.
