Advised the Battalion Headquarters on all movements related to Oman. To accomplish this I had to coordinate movement operations between the local Omani government, US Contractors, and US Air Force. I was the 840th representative in Oman and would advise my commander on issues and updated him as needed. 873rd Detachment Commander 01/14 – 12/14 1173rd Distribution Battalion S: LTC Jackie Tam Deployed Overseas P: unknown Staten Island, NY 50 hrs/w, $80,000/yr Duties: Commanded a deploying port management transportation detachment consisting of 21 Soldiers. Providing mission command and control. Responsible for ensuring all Soldiers are trained, equipped, and prepared to deploy to a combat zone. To accomplish this I had to plan, and coordinate training between the training units, and civilian contractors on Fort Dix, NJ. This included tracking all Soldiers training, medical and personal paperwork to ensure all assigned Soldiers were medically, personally and properly trained to deploy to a combat zone.
