Starting in the print industry in 1985 and later becoming qualified as a tradesman in 1990. Nathan developed his career further by becoming a colour systems specialist, consultant and print broker in the digital print industry. Moving into the building industry led Nathan to a product development role in residential bracing systems, where he discovered his passion for construction. He pursued a career in residential building and civil construction, later moving into larger specialized commercial site works. In 2012 Nathan became involved in the Ultra-fast broad band project in Wellington as a civil contractor, then accepting a role with Downer New Zealand as a Site Supervisor. He progressed quickly to a Build Manager role, which demanded a sound understanding of the financial requirements of project the management processes, strong site management experience in utilities networks, leadership skills, and an excellent knowledge and application of health and safety practices coordinated over multiple sites Nathan joined the Site safe team in 2014 as a Health, Safety and environmental advisor, his work takes him around the lower North island training, auditing, and supporting commercial, corporate and residential clients with all aspects of New Zealand’s Health and Safety legislative requirements.
