National NGO works for the betterment of differently abled at Nehru Camp

National Organization for social empowerment, also called as National NGO, holds up a long history of helping the differently abled people by providing them with necessary treatment and other benefits and facilities. Their researchers who went to the Nehru camp have harrowing tales to tell of the place. Hygiene is perhaps a word unheard of in the dingy alleys of Nehru Camp. With open drains running alongside the cramped streets that bear ruins of the tarmac, life for the residents of Nehru Camp is far from comfortable. And for five of its inhabitants, it’s much worse.

National NGO works for the betterment of differently abled at Nehru Camp National Organization for social empowerment, also called as National NGO, holds up a long history of helping the differently abled people by providing them with necessary treatment and other benefits and facilities. Mohd. Umar, Preeti, Munni Devi, Shabana and Anas are enduring a tougher life on the accounts of their disabilities. Life for them has become a daunting journey but with National NGO’s efforts, they are looking towards a beacon of hope. Umar, 28, suffers from locomotors disability and speech impairment disorder caused by a Jaundice that struck Umar 3 days after his birth. This accident hasn’t deterred Umar from dreaming big and hoping for a better life. He works for an organization and has an unbreakable spirit. Preeti has a tumor on her back and chest. These even restrict her from walking. She is barely surviving through the hardships of life since her husband died 3 years ago. Hope lingers in despair in her eyes. Shabana, 24, is one girl who is suffering from a joint problem that can be cured. But due to the expensive nature of the treatment, she is forced to live a life of trials and tribulations and work to contribute to the family income. Anas, a 6 year old kid is also forced to live with a curable ailment on the accounts of financial constraints. His knee problem is treatable but his family doesn’t have enough money for the same. But with National NGO making efforts to help them, their lives are about to change. This NGO is also focusing on improving the living conditions at the Nehru Camp.
