  • 2. NATASHA’S  STORY   Natasha  Monique  Hastings  is  an  American  track  and  field    Sprinter,  Olympic   gold  medalist,  and  world  class  athlete  from  New  York.”  At  the  age  of  22  the   400M  specialist    made  her  first  appearance  with  the  USA  Olympic  track  and   field  team,  and  in  2008  won  an  Olympic  gold  medal  in  the  women’s  4  x400M   relay.  Despite  her  early  success,  the  years  following  the  ‘08  Olympics  proved   to  be  a  trying  time  for  the  young  athlete,  and  after  a  series  of   disappointments  on  the  track    she  fell  short  on  making  the  2012  Olympic   team.  Natasha  was  able  to  refocus  her  efforts  and  went  on  to  achieve   successful  career  results  immediately  following  the  2012  Olympics.  She   finished  the  2013  outdoor  season  on  top  as  the  U.S.  National  Champion,  and   in  2014,    a  3rd  place  finish  at  the  U.S.  outdoor  national  championships   signified  that  possessed  the  capacity  to  perform  consistently  at  a  high  level   in  her  specialty.   Natasha  attended  the  University  of  South  Carolina  where  she  earned  a   degree  in  Exercise  Science.  She  won  both  indoor  and  outdoor   championships  her  junior  year  and  set  the  collegiate  records  at  that  time.   After  jokingly  describing  the  ladies’  track  team  of  her  alma  mater    as  the   “Gamecock  Divas”  in  reference  to  the  school’s  Gamecock  mascot,  her  fan   base  labeled  her  as  the  400M  Diva.  The  “400M  Diva”  nickname  continues  to   stick  throughout  her  career  to  this  day.
  • 3. In  2013,  Natasha  became  the  U.S.  National  Outdoor  Champion  over  the  400M,  finishing  the  season   ranked  #  1  in  the  US,  and    #4  in  the  world.  She  was  also  a  silver  medalist  in  the  4x400M  relay  at  the   2013  World  Championships.  In  2014,  she  held  the  World  Indoor  and  American  Indoor  record,  and   was  a  gold  medalist  in  the  4x400M  event  at  the  World  Relays.  She  then  went  on  to  place  3rd  at  the   U.S.  National  Championships.  In  2015,  she  became  the  300M  World  Indoor  Champion,  winning  the   event  in  a  personal  best  time.  At  the  2015  World  Relays  held  in  the  Bahamas,  Natasha  and  her   teammates  won  gold  in  the  4x400M  event  helping  team  USA  win  the  Golden  Baton.  Additionally,   Natasha  has  been  an  excellent  relay  runner  for  the  USA  having  earned  four  major  medals  in  the   Olympics  and  collective  World  Championships  over  the  years.  There  is  no  doubt  that  she  will   continue  to  strive  for  excellence  while  preparing  for  her  quest  for  gold  in  Rio  at  the  2016  Olympics.   SUCCESS  ON  THE  TRACK   2014  USA  Outdoor  bronze  medalist   2014  USA  Indoor  bronze  medalist   2013  USA  Outdoor  Champion   2013  World  Outdoor  4X400m  silver  medalist   2012  World  Indoor  bronze  medalist   2010  World  Indoor  4X400m  gold  medalist   2008  Olympic  4X400m  gold  medalist
