Be passionate.Ask questions. Listen. Learn. Go the extra mile.
Apply for jobs, work experience/ internship programmes to do
within your university holidays. Get ahead!

• Talent Manager representing hosts, experts & actors.
Want to become a presenter?
Just do it.
✤ Create content yourself! You need to practice & learn!
✤ Take advantage of the Universities free equipment!
✤ Work together & create short ﬁlms/ TV Entertainment shows -
distribute online & share via Youtube channels etc..
✤ Blogs - Tumblr/ Pinterest - Share your passions.
✤ Create a high quality, professional 2/3 minute showreel
showcasing your best work.
✤ Are they talented? Do they make me want to keep watching them?
✤ Ambitious, passionate and hard working attitude. Do they believe in
themselves and ability?
✤ Proﬁle / Credibility / Digital footprint / Reputation.
✤ Credits / What experience have they got? Where did they study/
✤ Could I work with them? Becomes a business partner relationships.
Traits I look for:
✤ Resume/CV - Keep it all on one page for acting. Professional jobs - no more than 2
pages. Most recent job at the top. Keep it simple and clear!
✤ Professional head shots only.
✤ Watch TV. Have TV ideas. Have opinions on shows. Look at the TV credits for the
production company/contacts. Know who makes what shows!
✤ Be polite.
✤ Be persistence, don’t take rejection personally & don’t give up!
✤ Get direct email addresses. Keep your email targeted. Keep contact details, keep in
touch & update them!
✤ Open castings/ competitions: Kiss FM Chosen One / Blue Peter/CBBC
✤ Be proactive to get work experience. Call - don’t just email. LinkedIN.
✤ Hospital/Student/Local Radio / Elstree Studios / Audience runners.
✤ Casting Call Pro / Spotlight / The Stage/ www.tobeseen.co.uk /
✤ Broadcast Magazine / Televisual Magazine / Media Guardian - Be in the know!
✤ Production Base for TV Production
Don’t ask, Don’t get!
Read. Learn. Grow.
✤ Trust yourself.
✤ Be persistent and polite but don’t bombard and be annoying.
✤ Always ask for help and advice when times get tough.
✤ Have goals but be realistic with timings.
✤ Work hard, be reliable, be early and help others.
✤ However painful, know your ﬁnances. Always ask for a pay rise and save/invest it.
✤ Explore, travel and have adventures. Create wonderful memories around the world with
people from different cultures.
✤ Enjoy life, laugh alot, go for the dream and don’t be a twat in the process. Good luck x
