Because no one know you better than yourself. Its initially you sell yourself to company by presenting yourself in a best way with high energy level and with greater confidence.<br />      PREPARATION<br />      PRACTICE <br />      PERFORM<br />These three Simple methods would help you to win any job and outperform others in an interview.<br />Practice makes man perfect: Do homework about How to present you in front of an interviewer. The Best way to do is Mirror practice, because that will help you to know your facial expressions better.<br />Know about the Company: The best way is to surf their website and get some information’s like, founder of the organization? <br />Prevailing trends in their industry.<br />Vision? <br />Mission?<br />Share value? <br />Competitors? <br />Clusters?<br />Do they have any certification (ISO, CMM Level) etc.<br />Right man for a right job: Before attending any interview you have to know what the post you are applying for is. And are you the right person for the position? To know that you are the apt SWOT analyzes will be more helpful. (S-Strength, W-weakness, O-opportunity and T-Threat).<br />Walk in his own shoe: Research form the point of view of the interviewer so you can anticipate likely questions. So it helps you to perform better so it takes you an extra mile.<br />Be organized: Always carry at least two more copies of your resume with a passport size photograph; Latest Mark sheets Certificates, Some white Sheets and a Pen in a nice looking Folder.<br />     Dress appropriately: It’s very important to look professional in an Interview; one prime area that the interviewer is going to base his opinion about you is on your dressing sense. Do not dress provocatively.<br />       Wear a dress, which is comfortable, and make you feel confident.<br /> Men’s Apparel <br />Long sleeve shirt <br />Dark socks with black shoe are preferred. <br />Try to wear tie, which gives professional look <br />Try to match belt, Shoe and Tie color.<br /> Women’s Apparel<br />Pleasant Colors<br />Limited Jewelry (coordinated with suit) <br />Simple Make up (Avoid too much lipstick)<br />Be on time: Try to be on time or better go there before 15 mins at the place of the interview.<br />Positive Body Language: Give a Smile and Firm handshake once you enter the interviewer’s Cabin; keep yourself relaxed, Smile confident, Direct Eye Contact is very essential, <br />Straight Posture while taking your seats. And Sense of Humor will be an added Feather to your cap during the interview.<br />Introduce yourself: once interviewer asked for. Don’t brief yourself, which is already mentioned in resume; Say something, which is not mentioned in the resume with your basic details. Be different from your competitors.<br />Know yourself: Your qualities, Resume Content; your career plan should coordinate with the requirement.<br />Be Attentive & Show Interest: Emphasize Your Desire to ward’s Work, Be enthusiastic; Present a positive attitude, pleasant humbleness helps. Sit straight and Make Eye Contact, Listen carefully. A good body language is very essential at this juncture.<br />Prepare for Likely Questions: <br /> - Tell me about yourself? <br /> - Why do you want to work for this Company?<br /> - How can you contribute to this job?<br /> - Greatest strength and weakness.<br />Be careful with grammatical errors and Your Manners: Employers are interested in candidates who can express themselves properly and communicate clearly. Even if you have to slow down and speak you can do it. But correct yourself. Using slang expressions very sparingly but don’t overdo it. If you are not aware Interview etiquette, take an advice from a knowledgeable friend.<br />Don’t Answer before question has been Asked: You may wrongly predict the question so be patient till the question has been asked. Don’t Interrupt when interviewer speaking. Don’t argue much. Your answers should be clear and concise. Don't make negative comments about previous employers or professors (or others).<br />Be Honest: Don’t try to pretend when don’t know something. Don’t give irrelevant answers.<br />Negotiation is not any better Idea: A formal negotiation can be accepted. Negotiating more would bring that you are to more money motivated.<br /> Ask questions if any opportunity provided: Ask Question is relevant like about Career Path, Job classification and Culture in the company. Questions like leave policy and other entitlements provided by the company before you get short-listed are not encouraged. Asking too many questions is also not encouraged.<br />Smile and leave the place with a positive impression: Say thanks and pleasing smile once the process gets over.<br />Follow-up with a thank you note: Contact them by phone or e-mail if you do not hear back within the time frame indicated.<br />
