  • 3. ANNEXURE PROJECTS HANDLED Project: HSDS (History Services Data Store) Description: The History Services environment was part of a larger reporting suite for payments. These services provided historical information about payments & customer activity. History Services included data & service components. The data components HSDS retained historical customer activity for 2 years. The service components provided access to this information. The Transaction Event Processor writes payment information to the TXN database. The SOR for such information is a Serialized Object containing compressed XML due to temporary technical limitations it was decided to write a normalized copy of the payment information to TXN in a form which is compatible with the legacy (1.0) payment data An ETL process will extract data from the TXN database 3rd Normal Form P1.0 tables and feed it into the Data Pipe, transform & load it into the appropriate History Reporting Databases those are HAPA (APAC), HEMA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), HAWA (North America West) and HAEA (North America East) depending on the payment's region Project: Payment 2.0 Description: It was a new platform to build payment products. In year 2010, a new payment engine called "Thunderbird" rolled out live. Starting year 2011, the existing payment flows routed thorough this new payment engine flow by flow and use case by use case. This program was a 2-3 year long program, different types of payments got processed by the new architecture and the main impact was wtransaction table will no longer be available Project: ETL Consolidation Description: It was an effort to migrate use cases from current EDW servers in PHX to ETL servers in the SLC Informatica Grid. This was part of the larger effort to consolidate data acquisition and loading into the Data Cloud infrastructure. After the consolidation, the data was no longer be transferred across networks instead the data was loaded directly into Teradata; instead the data was loaded directly from Informatica Grid. The effort was to start with migrate the codes (Bteq, ksh, Perl and Informatica) from EDW servers in PHX to ETL server in the SLC Informatica Grid from core26 in the phased manner Project: Data Migration Description: Mozart (Teradata) to Jaguar (Teradata) was a data replication process for analytics usage. Identified around 100 tables in source (Mozart) and replicating the same in target (Jaguar) Project: Custom Report Description: It was developed as an adhoc report that provided the users with the ability to customize the report by selecting data points that they wish to appear in the report. Users should have the ability to create, name, save, edit, delete and schedule up to three such custom reports at any given time Project: Project Harmony Description: Project Harmony is designed to integrate the assets (infrastructure) Pay Pal acquired from the Verisign acquisition.
