With over 24 merchants featuring every month, the applicant must beable to close deals fast whilst still being consultative in their approach. A Groupon feature can results in tens ofthousands of sales for a single merchant which means attention to detail is a must. The applicant must takeownership and responsibility for making sure every feature runs without a fault.Your Responsibilities• Identify new businesses and activities to be featured, expanding the range of offers for our subscribers through an average of 50 outbound calls per day• Present Groupon as a unique opportunity for businesses to acquire new customers• Achieve and over exceed on weekly and monthly sales targets• Proactively seek out new opportunities through new as well as contacts• Understand Groupon business model, know key KPIs and be able to apply an intelligent sales pitch in order to on board deals of high qualityThe Candidate• Minimum of 3 years sales experience• Experience in canvassing and cold-calling into various types of local businesses, with evidence of consistent and current success• Self motivated, striving towards over achievement• Have strong problem solving skills as well as a proactive approach• Someone with a background in marketing or affiliate marketing within the travel industry• Experience specifically in National Accounts• Understand the value of customer acquisition and the lifetime value of a customer• Network of contacts in the relevant sector is a definite bonus• Positive attitude, consultative approach and self-motivation are all essentialSuccessful candidates will earn a competitive basic salary plus bonuses based on performancePlease send your application to with the subject National Account Consultant along with abrief covering letter explaining why you are the right candidate.
